Hit the Jack-Pot on Leaves

Three Rowaytonites really hit the "jack-pot" on leaves this month – namely Bill Moore, Bobby LaFontaine and "Courtney" Moseley – all three returning from different parts of the globe.

Bobby is home on a thirty day leave after serving overseas for eighteen months. He was in Puerto Rico and the Dutch West Indies and spent last year on a Fire Boat in the Caribbean. He reports to New York for further assignment.

"Courtney" was home for twenty-five days after being overseas for eight months, arriving in the 'old town" just a few days before Christmas. His travels took him to France where he participated in the invasion of Southern France. "Courtney" reports back to a station in California for further assignment.

What a Christmas present the Moore's had! None other than their son, Bill. He arrived in town Christmas morning on a thirty day leave after being overseas for nine months. During Bill's travels he covered invasions of several islands in the Pacific.

It's swell seeing all you kids again and from all reports every minute of your leave is being enjoyed.
